Welcome to the Shasta Area Chapter

2008 was an exciting year for the chapter as we experienced a very busy Wild Fire Season.  The Volunteers did an outstanding job of serving our communities throughout the year.  Below you will find some numbers and those numbers represent hours of unselfish care by our amazing Volunteers.

  IN 2008:

    162---Clients assisted by our local DAT (Disaster Assistance Team) Members

    18---Local Volunteers deployed to National Disasters in Texas, Illinois, Louisiana and Florida

    195---Families of Military personnel assisted through SAF (Service to Armed Forces) Team Members

    8129---Individuals receiving Health and Safety certification (CPR, First Aid, Water Safety...)

    14---Wild Fire Shelters opened for those under mandatory evacuation
